Tim Kelly concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, insurance disputes, property damage, personal injury, employment discrimination, disability claims, complex collection cases, and mediation and settlement. He has experience representing clients as both an appellate and trial lawyer for more than 40 years. Combining his considerable knowledge of substantive law and courtroom procedures with his oral advocacy and written communication skills, he obtains outstanding results for clients in state and federal courts. Tim earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1983, his B.A. degree in Political Science from Augustana College in 1979. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Texas, and a number of federal courts.
Tim is an active member of the Illinois Bar Association. He briefed and argued West v. Gibson, 527 U.S. 212 in 1999 in the United States Supreme Court. He also briefed, argued and prevailed Podvinec v. Popov, 168 Ill.2d 130 in 1995 and briefed Thurmond v. Monroe, 159 Ill.2d 240 in 1994, both in the Illinois Supreme Court.
