In 1995, Tom Scannell left a corporate litigation law firm to build a law practice designed to help families and entrepreneurs. Tom firmly believed then, and more so now, that all of us are entitled to the same quality legal representation that the big corporations receive downtown. Excellent and affordable legal representation for all became his mantra. With lifelong roots in the Southside of Chicago, Tom began his practice diligently advocating for the legal needs of families, friends, and neighbors. Through word of mouth, the practice quickly grew to where Scannell & Associates now assists clients throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.

During Tim's legal career, he has represented and battled against major corporations at the Trial, Appellate, and Supreme Court levels. With Scannell & Associates, Tim has already taken on a powerful union that was wrongfully attempting to take advantage of their own retired workers! Tim has also collected hundreds of thousands of dollars for our entrepreneur clients. Tim understands the importance of fighting for families and entrepreneurs.
